Waste Management (End of Life Vehicles) Regulations, 2004.

In addition to the measures laid down in the Waste Management (Permit and Control) Regulations of 2001, the present Regulations provide measures and procedures which aim at (i) the prevention of waste from vehicles, (ii) the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of end of life vehicles and their components, so as to reduce the disposal of waste. Five Schedules are attached to the regulations. Schedule 1 lists out those substances and preparations which are dangerous for the purposes of these provisions. The penalties set out in regulation 15 shall be applied in case of infringement.
