Abstract
These Regulations, made under the Environment Protection Act, 2002, require any person who carries out an activity as specified in the First Schedule to these Regulations, to conduct an industrial waste audit and to fill out the Waste Audit Form and submit it to the Director of Environment. The Director may request persons who have submitted the form to submit an Industrial Waste Audit Report, to develop and submit an environmental management plan, or to carry out such plan after approval by the Director. Such persons shall appoint a person responsible onsite for industrial waste and report on progress in implementing the plan. The Regulations establish an Industrial Waste Audit Committee.
