Abstract
This Act, consisting of 10 sections, amends the Mauritius Agricultural Marketing Act. Amendments concern: deleting and replacement of relevant terms and definitions, including: locally-produced product, as a vegetable, a fruit or a flower produced in Mauritius; national wholesale market. Further amendments concern: provision of necessary infrastructure for the handling of locally-produced products; classification of users; definition of penalties and offences; power of the authorities to enter and inspect any premises or any land or place occupied by any producer, buying agent, or dealer involved in the wholesale by auction of locally-produced products.
