Abstract
Regulations to implement provisions of the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, and Remedies Act with respect to registration, sale and control of farm feeds as defined by section 2 of the Act.
The 15 regulations are divided into 4 Parts: Preliminary (I); Registration (II); Conditions of sale (III); Sampling and analyses (IV). Regulations 3 to 10 concern application for registration of commercial farm feeds for sale to the general public and approval for registration. The Third Schedule specifies standards for ingredients. Regulation 11 concerns appeal against decisions of the registering officer under section 10 of the Act. Provisions of Part III specify standards for salt content in feedstuffs and concerns labelling of containers and information to be included in invoices. Regulation 15 prescribes the method of taking samples by inspectors. A certificate of sampling and for analysis shall be released in the forms as included in Schedule 2. Characteristics of farm feeds shall remain unaltered after registration (reg. 19).
