Malawi Dairy Industries Corporation (Establishment) Order, 1987.

This Order makes provision for the establishment, composition, purposes functions and powers of the Corporation. The Corporation is a body corporate with perpetual succession, capable of suing and being sued, of holding, purchasing, acquiring and disposing of any property for the purposes, or in the course, of carrying out its functions. Purposes of the Corporation include improvement and multiplication of livestock for the production of milk and milk products; manufacture, processing, sale and distribution of milk and milk products, etc. The functions of the Corporation shall be to engage on commercial basis in production of livestock, processing of milk and milk products, purchase of milk, establishment and operation of factories, processing units, marketing and distribution of milk, etc.
