Milk and Milk Products Act (Cap. 67:05).

This Act specifies regulation-making powers of the Minister for better carrying out the purposes of this Act. Matters to be regulated include prescribing of grades for milk and milk products, handling, transporting and storing of milk and milk products, contracts for the sale of milk, inspection of production premises, registration and licensing of producers, manufacturers, processors, distributors, etc. The Minister may, by Order, establish a Dairy Advisory Committee for the whole of Malawi or areas of Malawi. The Minister may also, in the interest of the milk industry, establish a National Milk Marketing Board. Specialised bodies may be established for purposes of participation in commercial dairy activities and inspectors, milk-test graders, samplers, etc, may be appointed by the Minister. (7 sections)
