Abstract
These Regulations provide rules and requirements for the production, placing on the market and sale of milk and other dairy products. They prohibit adulteration of milk and milk products including false or misleading labelliung of such products. Herds for the production of milk shall be subject to disease control. A person owning or operating a dairy farm or possessing one or more milk cows shall be registered in accordance with these Regulations. The Regulations set out hygienic and other requirements for dairy farms. Dairy plants and distributors of milk and milk products shall obtain a licence from the Minister and shall observe the (hygiene) rules set out by these Regulations. An Inspector may at any time suspend or cause any dairy plant to cease selling, offering for sale or supplying milk for human consumption if he or she considers that any condition exists that is or might be dangerous to the public. The Minister may issue a Milk Grader’s Certificate with or without conditions as he thinks fit.
