Environmental Law for the State of Chiapas

This law is of public order, social interest and general observance in the territory of the State of Chiapas; Its purpose is the conservation of biodiversity, restoration of the ecological balance, protection of the environment, the rational use of its resources, education and environmental culture to promote the sustainable development of the State, in accordance with the provisions of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, the Political Constitution of the Free and Sovereign State of Chiapas, the General Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection, and other applicable legal provisions on the matter.
