Abstract
This Order pertains to activities carried out in designated "environmentally sensitive areas" that necessitate an Environmental Impact Assessment. These activities are categorized into two schedules: (i) those outlined in the First Schedule, which do not require public display and comment, and (ii) those specified in the Second Schedule, requiring public display and comment. Article 4 specifies the applications relevant to the states of Sarawak and Sabah. The activities span various sectors such as agriculture, aerodrome, drainage and irrigation, fisheries, forestry, industry, land reclamation, mining, petroleum, ports, power generation and transmission, development in coastal areas, national parks, and state parks, development on slope areas, waste treatment and disposal, dreding, housing, industrial estate development, new township, quarry, road, water supply, construction of dams, transportation, and radioactive materials and waste. Each sector provides detailed information on the specific activities involved.
