Abstract
This Act amends the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority Act 1965.
The long title has been amended and also some of the definitions. Sections 2, 3 and 3A dealing with the authority and its functions have been amended. A new section 6C dealing with the protection of the Director General has been inserted. A new section 15A dealing with the power to compound offences has been inserted. Sections 19, 21A, 22, 24, 25, and 27 dealing with powers relating to enforcement and with offences and penalties, have been amended. Minor amendments have been made to sections 9, 12, 14, 18, and sections 6, 6A, 6B, 11A, 12A, 23 have been deleted.
