Abstract
This Act provides for the control and management of feed.
The Act provides for the establishment of the Feed Board and defines its internal organization, and functions and powers. The Board, among other things, shall regulate the quality and safety of feed and feed additives, the feed industry and implement quality safety assurance programmes.
The Act sets out procedures and requirements for obtaining a licence to import feed and feed additives.
Furthermore, the Act provides for: feed specifications and conditions for proper keeping, storage, packaging, labelling and transportation; control of the use of antibiotics, hormones and other chemicals; powers of authorized officers; offences; etc.

An Act to establish the Feed Board, to regulate feed quality by controlling the importation, manufacture, sale and use of feed and feed additive, to ensure that feed satisfies nutritional requirements of animals, is not harmful to animals and is not contaminated so that animals and animal products are safe for human consumption and other usage, and for other matters incidental thereto.
