Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (Amendment) Act, 2002 (No. A1160)

The present Act lays down amendments and addenda to the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute Act 1969, which established such Institute for the purpose of promoting the agricultural production and related modernisation. This Act consists of 17 sections. Section 2 lays down the following general amendment: the words “agricultural industry”, wherever appearing in the Act, shall hereinafter be substituted by the words agricultural industry, agro-based industry and food industry”. New powers are entrusted to the Board by section 8. Section 16 amends the Schedule to the principal Act.
