Marine Reclamation Works on the West Coast of Sabah

The present Terms of Reference (TOR) provide a generic description of the scope of work required by the Sabah State Government for developers to fulfill the requirements for Environmental Monitoring and Management in connection with marine reclamation works. These Terms of Reference have been drafted by taking into particular account that the development of any marine reclamation project must be undertaken with the aim of minimizing the negative impact of the development on the physical-chemical as well as biological-ecological environment. The Terms deal with, inter alia, the monitoring and management strategy, the environmental monitoring programme and the environmental management programme.
