Abstract
This Act regulates Credit Institutions. It consists of 17 chapters establishing the conditions to be satisfied by Credit Institutions performing their activity within the territory under Mozambican jurisdiction. It defines the different types of Credit Institutions (including off-shore banks), regulating their functioning and specifying the requirements to be met. Sanctions for offenders are prescribed in the text.
