Abstract
This Decree approves the Regulation on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. This Regulation, consisting of 30 articles divided into eight Chapters and one Annex, aims at establishing the institutional framework, conditions for international trade, including fees for issuing licenses and certificates, captive breeding and artificial propagation of animal and plant species described in Appendices I, II and III of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in the national territory. It also establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the CITES Interministerial Group (CITES Group), with functions of institutional support to the Administrative Authority, the Minister who supervises the areas of Conservation, as well as establishes special provisions regarding trade, supervisory powers and sanctioning regime, etc.
