Decree No. 69/2017 creating the National Committee of Food and Nutritional Security (CONSAN).

This Decree, consisting of 14 articles, creates the National Committee of Food and Nutritional Security (CONSAN) as a consultative and coordinating body for the promotion and implementation of legislation, policies, strategies and programs pertaining to food and nutrition security. It establishes the composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Committee, which is entitled to perform the following activities: a) Interministerial and institutional coordination for the implementation of the legislation, policies, strategies and programmes of Food and Nutrition Security; b) Promotion of actions in the field of Food and Nutrition Security (SAN) and Human Right to Adequate Food (DHAA), respecting the specific role of the institutions, entities and communities involved.
