Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 8 Chapters, including a Glossary and a Table on Fees for License, Registration and Authorization, establishes the legal regime regulating all the activities related to petroleum products in national territory. The objectives of this Regulation are: a) ensure the supply of petroleum products to the country; b) ensure the supply of quality petroleum products at competitive prices to consumers; c) ensure the permanent and strategic reserves in the country; d) promote public and private investment in oil infrastructures; e) provide the conditions for increasing the supply of oil products to interland countries; f) create employment opportunities, as well as sources of income, particularly in rural areas; g) promote the protection of the environment in all activities related to petroleum products; h) promote the development of competitive markets for petroleum products; i) promote greater access to petroleum products throughout the national territory; k) promote the rational use of resources and oil products; l) promote alternative fuel sources in the country; m) promote the efficient use of oil infrastructures.
