Law No. 10/2024 on the protection and fulfilment of the fundamental rights and freedoms of people with disabilities and permanent physical, mental and sensory impairments.

The purpose of this Law is to protect and respect the fundamental rights and freedoms of people with disabilities, with a permanent physical, mental or sensory and sensory impairment. It aims to promote and guarantee the full exercise of the rights of people with disabilities, the elimination of barriers and their inclusion and participation on an equal footing with other people in all spheres of society. This Law is governed by the following principles: a) respect for dignity; b) accessibility; c) reasonable adjustment; d) equal opportunities; e) gender equality; f) non-discrimination; g) non-institutionalization; h) participation; i) equity; j) solidarity; k) humanization.
