Law No. 20/2020 on Credit Institutions and Financial Companies.

This Law on Credit Institutions and Financial Companies aims to regulate: a) the establishment, operation and supervision and resolution of credit institutions and financial companies; b) the establishment, operation and monitoring of microfinance operators other than credit institutions. Insurance companies, pension fund management companies and property investment companies are not covered by this law. Oversight of the monetary, financial and foreign exchange markets is the responsibility of the Minister who oversees the area of finance, who may intervene whenever there is any disturbance in these markets.
