Abstract
This Ministerial Order approves Specific Rules for the Sanitary Certification of aquatic animal origin food stuff. The above mentioned Rules are divided into 14 articles and 5 Annexes, establishing terms and conditions to be satisfied by aquatic animal products in order to obtain a sanitary certification of food stuff and to be put on the market for human consumption. It regulates categories of fish products, rules for performing external trade, certification documents, sanitary certification for exportation, products for commercial promotion, samples for laboratory analysis, rules for importation, requirements for international and National transit of fish products, etc. The competent authority for carrying out controls on these products is the National Institute of Fish Inspection. Annexes lay down model forms for inspection and fulfil sanitary licensing requirements.
