Abstract
This Ministerial Order amends areas where deep-sea trawling for crustaceans and lobsters is carried out using cages, with a view to ensuring the sustainability of fishing resources and maximizing economic gains from fisheries. This Order repeals point b) of paragraph 1 of article 54, n. 1 and 2 of article 72 and n. 3 of article 74 and establishes until 31 December 2024, the provisions relating to the exercise area for deep-sea crustaceans, the minimum mesh size of cages and pits and the depth at which cages or pits can be used when dealing with deep-sea lobster set out in the Marine Fisheries Regulation (REPMAR), approved by Decree No. 89/2020 of 8 October.
