Resolution No. 9/2023 approving the Statute of the National Fund for Sustainable Development (FNDS).

This Resolution approves the Statute of the National Fund for Sustainable Development. The responsibilities of the FNDS are: a) mobilization, generation and management of financial resources, applying them to actions leading to sustainable development; b) mobilization of resources multilaterally to implement sustainable development activities; c) promotion and support for strategies, programmes and projects that contribute to rural development in an integrated, harmonious and sustainable way; d) promotion of scientific research programmes and actions in the field of sustainable development in rural areas; e) financing environmental management programmes, climate change adaptation and mitigation, sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation, land administration and territorial planning; f) financing technology transfer programmes and/or projects that contribute to the sustainable development of rural areas; g) carrying out investment projects and financial investments promoting sustainable development; h) creation and participation in the capital of companies or institutions whose purpose contributes to integrated and sustainable development; i) financing institutional development activities; and j) managing financial resources from conventions in the area of the environment, land, forests and conservation areas, etc.
