Resolution No. 19/2017 approving the Statute of the National Fund for Sustainable Development (FNDS).

This Resolution approves the Statute of the National Fund for Sustainable Development (FNDS). The Statute, consisting of 32 articles divided into four Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Fund. The objective of the FNDS is to promote and finance programmes and projects that guarantee sustainable harmonious and inclusive development in order to meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In particular, it aims to promote and support strategies, programmes and projects that contribute to rural development in an integrated, harmonious and sustainable manner; promote programmes and actions for scientific research in the field of sustainable development in rural areas; finance environmental management programmes, adaptation and mitigation of climate change, sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation, land management and land use planning; finance technology transfer programmes and/or projects that contribute to the sustainable development of rural areas; carry out investment projects and financial investments that promote sustainable development; etc.
