Avian Influenza (Precautionary Measures) and Miscellaneous Provisions (Amendment) Ordinance, 2006.

This Decree grants ample regulation-making powers to States Commerce and Employment Department for purposes of making make directions in relation to precautionary measures for the prevention of avian influenza. These directions may have regard to, among other things, birds, eggs, fertilizers, carcasses, bird products or products used for or by birds, etc. other precautionary measures include monitoring and surveillance programmes, inspection and testing and slaughter of birds.
