Abstract
These Regulations, as regards the territory of Gibraltar, are setting the food safety standards and issues related to the prohibitions of use and/or presence of chloroform in food and foodstuff intended for human consumption.
No person shall sell or import into Gibraltar any food which has in it or on it any added chloroform. Still, these Regulations shall not apply to any food intended for exportation to any place outside Gibraltar; any medicinal product to which the United Kingdom Medicines (Chloroform Prohibition) Order 1979 applies.
This text is divided into 7 different sections as follows: Title and Commencement; Interpretation; Exemptions; Prohibition of chloroform in food; Condemnation of food; Penalties; Application of various sections of the Act.
