Abstract
This Order, for purposes of articles 3, 10(e), 13, 14 and 42 of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956, provides for the notification to the Minister of holdings in which pigs, goats or sheep are held, kept or handled. It also requires a keeper of a holding to maintain a register in a form approved for the purpose by the Minister, in which specified data regarding animals is kept. It also: provides for ear-tagging of animals; prohibits the moving of a pig, goat or sheep off a holding unless it has an ear tag in each ear; and requires a person who transports pigs, goats or sheep from a holding for export to carry a document signed by the keeper of the holding of departure.
