Abstract
These Regulations, also for the purpose of transposing into the law of Gibraltar of Directive 2004/107/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council relating to arsenic, cadmium, mercury, nickel and polycyclic aromatic carbons in ambient air as amended by Council Regulation (EC) No 219/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 2009, and Directive 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2008 on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe, are setting the provisions necessary for the implementation and compliance with topics regarding the air quality standards.
Contents of this text are divided into 7 main Parts as follows: General (1); Assessment of ambient air quality (2); Duties of Minister in relation to limit values etc (3); National Exposure Reduction for PM2.5 (4); Plans (5); Public information and Transboundary air pollution (6); Offences, Revocations (7).
Schedules 1 and 2 are also part of this publication (Directive 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2008 on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe; Directive 2004/107/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 December 2004 relating to arsenic, cadmium, mercury, nickel and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in ambient air).
This text involves the provisions contained in the Directive 2004/107/EC; Directive 2008/50/EC; Directive 2008/99/EC; Directive 2015/2193/EU; Council Regulation (EC) No 219/2009; and Commission Directive (EU) 2015/1480.
Entry into force notes
These Regulations shall come into operation on the day of publication.
