Abstract
These Regulations, also for the purposes of transposing into the law of Gibraltar of Directive 2006/7/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the management of bathing water quality and repealing Directive 76/160/EEC, are here setting the requirements for the implementation of protection issues necessary for the preservation and management of surface waters that are officially designated by the competent authority.
This text is divided into 5 main parts as follows: Preliminary; Bathing water profiles; Monitoring of bathing waters; Bathing water assessment and classification; Management of bathing waters.
