Abstract
This Order amends the European Communities Legislation (Bluetongue) (Jersey) Regulations 2008 by inserting a definition of 'live attenuated vaccines' and by prohibiting the use of live attenuated vaccines whilst a declaration that Jersey is a surveillance zone is in force (amendment of regulation 7). ‘Live attenuated vaccines’ means vaccines which are produced by adapting bluetongue virus field isolates through serial passages in tissue culture or in embryonated hens’ eggs.
