Abstract
These Regulations are here setting the complete food safety rules as regards the honey, and honey as food ingredient. This text sets the definitions, processing and handling rules, packaging and labelling issues, necessary composition and certification of origin provisions, and several market and producer rules.
The provisions of these Regulations shall not apply to any honey sold, consigned or delivered for exportation to any place outside Gibraltar.
Contents of this text are divided into 12 Parts, as follows: Title and Commencement (1); Interpretation (2); Exemptions (3); Composition and preparation of honey (4); Use of honey as an ingredient in the preparation of food (5); General restrictions on the use of the word or description “honey” (6); Labelling and description of honey (7); References to origin (8); Manner of marking or labelling (9); Penalties (10); Defences (11); and Application of various sections of the Act (12).
