Abstract
The aim of this Implementing Regulation is to regulate veterinary quarantine in GCC. The present Regulation is composed of 4 Chapters divided into 36 articles. Chapter 1 deals with terms and definitions. Chapter 2 provides for the following: veterinary quarantine; licence for importation and exportation of animals and animal products; ban on the importation and exportation of animals; quarantine measures; documents and certificates accompanying animal consignments arriving into the country for the purposes of consumption, production or otherwise; requirements for imported animals and animal products; and expiry dates. Chapter 3 regulates the work in quarantine centers. Chapter 4 deals with the following: internal quarantine; competencies and tasks of veterinarians; and periodic vaccinations.
