Abstract
This Act provides for the preservation and protection of certain species of trees.
The Act prohibits the felling of any specified tree except in possession of a permit granted by the prescribed authority. Procedures and requirements for obtaining a permit are set out in the text.
The Act further provides for: penalties; disposal of timber fallen due to natural calamities; rule making powers of the Government; etc.
