Abstract
These Regulations are here setting the food safety related rules as regards the classification, processing, declaring, measuring, labelling and sale of food products described and defined as meat products and spreadable fish origin products.
Contents of this text are divided into 18 sections, as follows: Title and Commencement (1); Interpretation (2); Scope (3); Restrictions on the use of certain names (4); Name of the food for certain meat products (5); List of ingredients (6); Declaration of meat or fish content (7); Declaration of corned meat content (8); Declaration of added water content (9); Miscellaneous provisions relating to declarations (10); Lean meat content (11); Calculation of meat content (12); Calculation of fish content, corned meat content and added water content (13); Parts of the carcase in uncooked meat products (14); Penalties (15); Defences (16); Application of various sections of the Act (17); Offences due to fault of another person (18).
