Abstract
These Regulations are here setting the food safety related rules as regards the correct treatment of raw animal meat (not fish or birds) intended for human consumption on the territory of Gibraltar. These provisions are also setting the: list of forbidden additives, specific sale issues, possible penalties and obligation to seize and destroy the food that is declared as unfit for human consumption.
Contents of this text are divided into 6 sections, as follows: Title and Commencement (1); Interpretation (2); Sale etc. of raw meat containing any added specified substance (3); Condemnation of meat (4); Penalties (5); Application of various sections of the Act (6).
Schedule is also part of this publication (containing the list of prohibited substances: Ascorbic acid; Erythorbic acid; Nicotinic acid; Nicotinamide, and any salt or other derivative of any of the above mentioned substances).
