Order No. 1 on fishing quota and licence.

Fishing vessels of 75 BRT or less may only fish between the coastal area and a line which is located 3 miles from the Greenland base territory, however this limit does not apply to scallop-fishing activities.
Temporary fishing licences are issued and shall carry a maximum allowable catch prerequisite for commercial fishing. This includes all species (excluding shrimp fishing) with vessels of 75BRT or more and scallop-fishing independently on the size of vessel. Licences are issued for a year at a time and are granted to individuals having had and used similar permit the previous year.
Unlimited licences are issued to vessels measuring more than 6 meters granting maximum allowable catch for shrimps and coastal fishing for halibut. For shrimp-fishery, should a vessel registered the yearly quota, may continue fishing after the 15 November that same year. The quantities fished beyond yearly quota may be deducted from the vessel's total allowable catch of the following year.
