Abstract
This Order applies to the Greenland land and fishing territory and sets regulations concerning the hunting of wild birds, which requires authorization license and can only take place in defined areas as listed under article 4. For the purpose of wildlife protection and conservation, hunting of certain species are subject to quota and may only be caught at specific seasons and areas. The Greenlandic Autority for Fishing and Hunting (Naalakkersuisoq) may delegate the management of a geographically limited area of local governance in adherence to biological requirements and after consulting the Hunting Council and other relevant organizations. Hunted birds, including birds caught as bycatch in fisheries, must annually be reported to the Department of Fisheries and Hunting.
