Abstract
This Order applies to commercial cod-fishing whereby vessels of 80 BRT or larger are subject to fishing licensing specifying total allowable catch, permitted geografic fishing areas and period of fishing. Vessel size requirements are in adherence to Act No. 203 of 18 May 1977 regulations. Fishing licence is valid for a maximum of 1 year and is in adherence to Act No. 11 of 21 December 1984, in particular article 3. Vessels shall also consist of a minimum of 70% crew individuals having residence status in Greenland for the past 2 years and having fishing activity as their main source of income. landing information and other pertinent of catch activities registration, fishing areas and crew registration shall be submitted to Greenland Fishery Licence Control (GFLK).
