Order No. 9 on the protection and hunting of musk oxen.

Abstract
This Order sets rules on hunting of musk ox (Ovibus moschatus) in Greenland and applies to its conservation and the setting of hunting quota and permitted hunting seasons (from 1 August to 15 April) and hunting methods. The latter is allowed with weapons of minimum caliber of 6.5 x 55 with full mantel ammunition. Semi- and fully-automatic weapons are prohibited. Use of bow and arch is permitted to those who have passed training tests thereof in Denmark, Greenland and abroad; they must be Compound-blue with drawing force of 38 kgs., carbon arrows of 0.75 m, with 4-bladed tips of 8 gr. Special licence must be granted for these activities and all catches must be notified to the Department of Hunting and Fishing.
