Abstract
This Order, made under articles 4, 5 and 8 of the Plant Health (Jersey) Law 2003, introduces measures to control the spreading of pests and diseases affecting plants. They provide rules concerning: the importation of plant pests, plants and plant products from members states of the European Community and from third countries; movement of plants within Jersey; and any activity in Jersey that involves genetic modification of a plant pest or use or keeping of such pests. The Order also provides for the issue of phytosanitary certificates and plant passports.
