Regulation No. 11 on the reporting of production and economic information concerning commercial fishing.
Type of law
Regulation
Abstract
This regulation of the Government of Greenland requires operators in commercial fishing within Greenland’s fishing territory, as well as Greenlandic vessels fishing abroad, to report production and economic data. The rules apply to vessels licensed for offshore fishing, coastal shrimp fishing, and coastal halibut fishing. Each year, operators must submit reports to the tax administration by 1 June, certified by a registered or state-authorized auditor, with special deadlines applying to data from 2012–2014. Reports are submitted electronically in formats specified by the tax authority. Failure to comply, whether intentional or through gross negligence, can result in fines under Greenland’s criminal law, and companies can also be held liable.
