Regulation No. 48 on calculation methods for the reporting of certain catches.

This regulation of the Government of Greenland establishes calculation methods for reporting certain catches. It applies to Greenlandic fishing vessels licensed to operate inside and outside Greenland’s fishing territory, as well as foreign vessels fishing under Greenlandic licenses. It defines key terms such as “whole fish” and “conversion factor,” the latter being a coefficient used to calculate the weight of catches based on processed products. The order requires that specific conversion factors listed in Annex 1 be used when reporting catches to Greenland’s Fisheries License Control (GFLK), and that new product types receive approved factors from GFLK. Violations may result in fines and confiscation under Greenland’s Criminal Code.
