Regulation No. 5 on calculation methods for the reporting of certain catches.
Type of law
Regulation
Abstract
This regulation of the Government of Greenland establishes methods for calculating and reporting certain fish catches. It applies to Greenlandic vessels licensed to fish both within and outside Greenland’s territory, as well as foreign vessels fishing under Greenlandic licenses. The regulation defines whole fish and conversion factors, requiring vessels to use specific conversion factors listed in the annex when reporting catches to the Greenland Fisheries License Control (GFLK). If a product type is not listed, GFLK determines the appropriate factor. Violations, such as failing to apply the correct factors, may result in fines or license withdrawal, including corporate liability.
