Abstract
These Regulations make provision for monitoring by means of satellite devices of commercial fishing in the territorial sea of Jersey by local, European Community and Third Country boats measuring more than 15 metres in overall length. They lay down requirements regarding the having on board, maintenance and use of devices that sends the required information by way of satellite and land earth station to a Fisheries Monitoring Centre established under Council Regulation 2847/93. The Regulations also specify the information to be transmitted by fishing boats.
