Abstract
The purpose of these Regulations, made under the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency Act, is to enable consistent application of Environmental Laws, Regulations and Standards in all sectors of the economy and geographical regions. Matters covered by the Regulations include: permit application procedure; mode of application; specific information to be contained in the permit; various chargeable fees; acknowledgment, assessment, approval or refusal of a permit; notice to the applicant; appeal by application; amendment and renewal of permit and specific procedure; suspension and cancellation of permit and related grounds, including: carrying out a business permit in a manner constituting an immediate threat to public health and safety of the ecosystem; powers and decision of the Agency concerning suspension and cancellation of permits; procedure for re-hearing and appeals; reapplication; definition of relevant terms.
