Abstract
These Regulations, made under the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency Act and applicable to all environment impacting activities in the context of the operations and services of the telecommunications and broadcast industry, aim at: protecting human health and the environment from the consequences of activities of the telecommunications and broadcast industry. Matters covered by the Regulations include: environmental impact assessment, environmental audit; additional requirements for new facilities; environmental monitoring and inspection; permissible radiation level; guidelines and standards for using power generators; enforcement; sanctions; interpretation of relevant terms. Attached schedule concerns permissible noise levels for residential and commercial areas, hospitals, school.
