Abstract
This Act establishes the National Planning Commission. The Commission shall, amongst others: determine and advise on policies that will best promote national unity and integration and sustain the Nigerian nation and act a national focal point for the coordination and formulation of national policies and programmes; formulate and prepare long-term, medium-term and short-term national development plans and coordinate such plans at the Federal, State and local Government levels; and monitor projects and progress relating to plan implementation. The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development shall form part of the Commission.
