Abstract
These Regulations of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) prohibit the manufacture, importation, exportation, advertisement, sale or distribution of spirit drinks in Nigeria unless the products have been registered with the Agency in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations. They shall also apply to the use of ethyl alcohol and distillates of agricultural origin in the production of alcoholic beverages and to the use of the names of spirit drinks in the presentation and labelling of foodstuffs. The use and limits of food additives or food colours in the manufacture of spirit drinks shall be as prescribed by the Agency. The Regulations set out labelling requirements.
