The Diseases of Animals Regulations establish procedures for identifying, reporting, and controlling animal diseases in Ebonyi State of Nigeria. Individuals must report any suspected or confirmed cases to veterinary officers or local authorities and isolate affected animals. Local councils and magistrates are empowered to enforce isolation, issue directives, and, if necessary, order slaughter with proper consultation. Veterinary officers may inspect premises, conduct tests, and order the destruction of infected animals or contaminated materials to prevent disease spread.
