Wild Animals Law, Chapter 152 of 1916.

This Law, divided into six parts and consisting of 51 sections, concerns the protection of wild animals. The Law covers the following matters: appointment of officers and of the advisory committee; prohibited and protected animals and permission to hunt them; issuance of licence to hunt specially protected animals and relating restrictions; cancellation and suspension of hunting licence; killing animals in self defence; game reserves, game sanctuaries and closed seasons; acts prohibited in game reserves; offences in game reserves; restriction on methods of hunting and destroying wild animals, including killing fish; possession and traffic in trophies; special measures for protecting eggs of specially protected birds.
