Act containing rules concerning the transportation and distribution of natural gas.

This Act provides for public control of gas distribution networks. It applies also to gas storage facilities and transboundary gas pipeline systems within the EEZ of the Netherlands or on the Continental Shelf. The Act provides, among other things, for the appointment and duties of supply network managers, technical requirements for the transportation of gas, building of infrastructure, monitoring and data collection and communication, notification of emergencies and duties of operators to maintain an environmentally sustainable gas supply.
